In order to stay proficient in fire fighting there are times that houses designated for demolition are set on fire in order to train under actual conditions. The next two photos demonstrate this.

The next photos show training under simulated conditions. The Firefighters are blindfolded to resemble heavy smoke conditions while crawling through a tight space where they have to remove their SCBA tank until they exit at which time they must put the tank back on while not damaging the equipment that protects them.
